Call us at 713-207-7777 or 1-866-222-7100, and provide the call center agent your mobile number. You will be sent a welcome message via text message on your mobile device, and you will begin receiving text messages.
You can also opt-in through your online account. Once logged in, go to "My Account" and then "Profile." Choose "Account & contact preferences" and select which messages you want to receive.
There are several ways you can opt out of receiving text messages.
You can stop receiving text messages at any time by going to the "Alerts & contact preferences" menu in your online account and unchecking the text notifications opt-in box. From here, you can also opt out of specific types of alerts. Or, you can text "STOP" to 697697 from your mobile device to be unsubscribed from all Reliant account and service-related text messages sent to that phone number.
You can also speak with a call center agent at 713-207-7777 or 1-866-222-7100. Tell them you want to opt out of text messages. Once you have opted out, you will receive a text message from Reliant confirming that you are opted out.

Once you opt in, you’ll automatically receive texts based on the preferences you select in your online account, which you can manage at any time. You can also request updates on demand (as you need them) by texting a keyword to 697697. Please note that the types of texts available are slightly different for customers on prepaid plans.

The number and frequency of text messages will vary based on the programs and selections for which you opted in. Some messages may be received on demand by texting keywords to 697697. Others may include the option to be set up to occur periodically.
Currently, text messages are only available to subscribers with United States phone numbers.
Reliant does not charge a fee for text messages, but message and data rates may apply. Depending on your text plan, you may be charged by your wireless carrier.
