When severe weather threatens your area, take these precautions before the storm strikes.

Charge all your mobile devices
Have backup batteries and power banks ready
Unplug electronics that could be damaged by a power surge
Fuel up your vehicle
If you have one, make sure your generator is fueled
Trim tree branches around your home that could come into contact with power lines
Ensure your carbon monoxide (CO) detector is working
Know how to turn off your power, gas and water in case you’re told they’re unsafe to use
