Things to do at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
Visit the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (HLSR) at NRG Park this March, and you’re in for a one-of-a-kind experience. As the Official Energy Provider of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Reliant is proud to welcome you to this world-class event.
While you’re taking in all the Rodeo has to offer, be sure to step up to the Reliant Big Boot, located on Rodeo Plaza, in between NRG Center and NRG Stadium.
On display and accessible to all (no climbing, please!), the Reliant Big Boot is celebrating its 10th year at the HLSR and has always been a huge draw for guests. From heel to toe, it’s a popular stop for group photos and selfies shared across social media every Rodeo season.
Near the Big Boot you’ll find Reliant Ranch, where you can play western-themed carnival games for a chance to win various prizes. Games include Boot Toss, Bull Ring Toss and a giant "connect four."
New for 2026, Reliant is proud to be presenting partner of the RodeoHouston drone shows. In the first-ever display of its kind, over 400 drones will illuminate the sky over NRG Park, telling the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo story.
Snap photos and share the spectacle as the entire park is mesmerized by an other-worldly display – including the Houston debut of firework- and pyro-drones. Shows are slated for every Saturday and Sunday evening during HLSR.
If you're a Reliant customer, be sure to stop by the Reliant Ranch and get a leather item branded for FREE* by The Hat Chick. She'll be on-site every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
Leather keychains will be provided, and personalization is free for Reliant customers. Or bring your own leather item, like a wallet or boots, for branding. One of the many perks of being a Reliant customer.
Step onto the dirt and hop atop a life-size bucking “bull” for a special Rodeo photo opp. Through a unique digital content capture option, you’ll have the perfect keepsake. Located in the Lobby of NRG Center Hall C.
You’ll also find Reliant inside the NRG Center exhibit hall, where our team will have fun prizes and games to keep the whole family entertained. Located in NRG Center Hall B, Barrel Racer Expressway - Booth # B13034 - B13035.
Selfies, social sharing, texts and calls can quickly drain devices. To keep Rodeo visitors connected, Reliant is offering FREE one-day rentals on portable power packs at over two dozen Reliant Charging Stations across NRG Park, including at NRG Stadium, NRG Center and NRG Arena.
With a valid email and credit card ($10 hold), simply use the QR Code on the screen to vend-out a power pack with the connector type you need (iPhone or Android). Return the used power pack to any Charging Station so that the kiosk can recharge it for the next Rodeo-goer.
Since the Rodeo was established in 1932, this annual event continues to set new standards across the livestock and entertainment industries, in the sport of rodeo, and through its enduring commitment to youth education and enrichment.
Over the decades, the HLSR has grown to become one of the largest scholarship providers in the U.S., committing $660 million to the youth of Texas and vital education programs. As part of this effort, each year, the Rodeo awards a $20,000 scholarship in the name of Reliant.
Through this on-site community focused initiative, Reliant volunteers perform small but meaningful good deeds for HLSR attendees, such as taking photos, opening doors and helping keep grounds tidy. Look for Reliant volunteers on-site during the first day of the Rodeo, Tuesday, March 3.
