To begin service with Reliant we’ll first need some basic details, so having your personal information handy, such as a valid form of I.D. or Social Security number, and full service address, will accelerate the process.2

1 Upon enrollment you can provide either a Driver’s License or Social Security number. This information will be used to check if a deposit is needed and verify your identity for account access. For best results, we recommend providing your social security number.
2 Requests processed after 5:00 p.m. Central Time will be connected the next business day. Same-day service is offered Monday through Saturday, weather permitting, where an existing meter is in place. No connections on holidays. Enrollment and permit requirements must be met before a request can be processed. Additional charges apply.
3 Referrals may only be submitted by active Reliant residential customers with a Texas service address. To qualify for bill credit, referrals must be new Reliant residential customers in Texas enrolled on a term plan with a minimum of ten days of active electricity service on that plan. Bill credit will be applied within two billing cycles after the referred customer has completed ten days of active electricity service. Any disputes relating to eligibility will be determined solely by Reliant. Reliant may modify or discontinue this program at any time without notice. Additional terms and conditions apply. Many term plans charge an early cancellation fee if the contract is terminated prior to the expiration date. An early cancellation fee may be avoided if you are moving and provide prior notice of the move, including a forwarding address and, if applicable, other evidence supporting the move. If you're starting service at a new location, you can sign up before 5 p.m. for same-day power and after 5 p.m. for next-day service. However, there are a few factors that could delay service. For example, if your meter is physically inaccessible or a permit is required, we cannot guarantee the transfer date you select. Please keep in mind that you may need to satisfy certain requirements, such as paying a deposit or providing valid ID, and delays in satisfying these requirements can delay your start date.
