The North American Customer Centricity Awards, presented by ARCET Global, recognize America's most Customer Centric companies. Reliant won for its closed loop and See, Hear and Speak programs, which focus on resolving customer issues.
The Smart Grid Customer Innovation Awards, presented by SmartEnergy IP, recognize industry leaders and utilities that demonstrate a fearless approach to innovation in improving customer engagement through innovative technology applications. For our working partnership with Google, Reliant took home the Excellence Award for Innovative Collaboration. This award is presented to a group of organizations that have collaborated to improve customer education.
In 2019, the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative honored Reliant with the Smart Energy Innovation Award for our work in pioneering voice-activated home energy management. Through our partnership with Google Nest, we proudly offer customers smart innovations that help them save time, money and energy. We're excited to help customers gain more control of their electricity usage while simplifying their lives.
ForeSee, the pioneer in voice-of-customer solutions, released its 2018 Utilities Customer Experience (CX) Insights report. Based on survey data from over 6,000 customers of 25 top utility providers in the U.S., Reliant ranked number one in Overall Customer Experience. Conducted in February 2018, the Utility CX Insights report is the first study of its kind to assess customer experience with national utility providers. The study is composed of the largest electricity providers based on revenue and number of residential customers served and includes a combination of both individual providers and holding companies.
For the second year in a row, Reliant won a Maritz CX Elite Award. After winning this award in 2017, we worked hard in 2018 to continue our efforts to produce the best customer experiences possible. Through this process, we completed several enhancements to our shopping, enrollment and account management experience. We are pleased to have received this award under the category of Excellence in Transforming an Organization.
Across all industries, sectors and regions, organizations are finding ways to improve the customer experience in a sustainable manner. The Temkin Group CX Excellence Award is meant to highlight those efforts. We received this award due to our transformative efforts to improve the customer experience. Reliant's Customer First team recently evolved from a dedicated department to a hub-and-spoke structure that relies on 15 subject matter experts, or "fanatics," to drive the customer experience. This transition was a resounding success and is an excellent example of our commitment to our customers.
The CX Elite Award recognizes excellence in customer experience (CX) strategy, execution and results each year. In 2017, Reliant was one of 15 honorees. We've been working hard to continually improve what we provide for customers and how we respond to their needs. The changes we made resulted in our highest annual customer renewal rate to date, a factor that contributed to our win.
As Mike Sinoway, CEO of MaritzCX, said, "In today's competitive energy services environment, electricity providers — as a matter of survival — must listen, understand and build programs that deliver a high-value return for their customers... From 2015 to 2017, Reliant and our parent company, NRG, have focused on improving the digital experience for our customers. Dynatrace recognized those efforts, including NRG in their list of 2017 customer award winners. The Command Performance Award is given to the company with the most visionary and mature digital model among Dynatrace customers.

Whenever I call or need some service, the Reliant representatives are exceptional, obviously including those who speak Spanish. The 24-hour service by email communication is excellent, and the app on my personal phone works at 100%. Reliant is also reasonable in price, and the service is satisfying.
