Reliant and EarthShare are celebrating a decade of partnership and $2 million raised through the Reliant EcoShare program since 2011.

Doing your part to better the environment doesn’t have to be expensive. With Reliant’s EcoShareSM program, it’s easy to help fund carbon offsets and contribute to clean energy initiatives in Texas.

When you sign up, a small charge will be added to your electricity bill each month – and there’s no need to change your existing electricity plan to participate. A portion of that charge will go to EarthShare of Texas, an environmental nonprofit, and a portion will go toward purchasing carbon offsets.*

Choose from two levels of participation

Reliant EcoShareSM Gold

  • $5.95/month
  • $2 donated to EarthShare of Texas
  • Purchases 1,000 pounds of carbon offsets

Reliant EcoShareSM Silver

  • $3.95/month
  • $1 donated to EarthShare of Texas
  • Purchases 500 pounds of carbon offsets

Earn bill credits with your solar panels

If you already have solar panels, Reliant has renewable electricity plans that can help you make the most of your solar power. With the Reliant Solar Payback Plus plan, you’ll receive bill credits when your solar panels generate excess energy and return it to the electric grid.**

*Participation in Reliant EcoShareSM at either the Gold or Silver level is optional and will not impact your agreement to purchase electricity service from Reliant. Choose your level of participation and cancel at any time. You do not have to change your current electricity plan. Only available to customers in Texas. Reliant customers on pre-paid plans are not eligible for Reliant EcoShare.SM

** To receive bill credits, customer must have solar panels at the utility service address and an active interconnection agreement with the utility (or TDSP). Customers must have a meter installed and configured by their TDSP that measures the inflow and outflow of electricity to and from their homes. See Electricity Facts Label or contact Reliant for details on solar production credit amount. Credit value differs from the per kWh energy rate we charge for the electricity plan. It may take up to 3 billing cycles after receiving Permission to Operate (PTO) from your utility to begin receiving credits
