1Reliant Prepaid Power plan requires customers to have a provisioned smart meter and make payment prior to electricity use. You must make an initial payment of at least $75 and maintain a balance of greater than $5 to avoid interruption of service. Connection charges vary based on where you live. A credit check will be required if you attempt to enroll in any Reliant post-pay plan.
2To be eligible for AutoReload, your account must be in good standing and you may not have two or more returned payments during the past 12-month period. Reliant may terminate your participation in AutoReload in the event you provide incorrect, false or fraudulent account information or if you have more than one returned payment item on your account. Additionally, after your first returned payment item, your AutoReload plan will be temporarily deactivated and may only be reactivated upon your verification of your payment account information. Once you have more than one returned payment, your account may be ineligible for reactivation on AutoReload payment options for up to 12 months. Your bank account and credit card account information will be used only for the purposes of setting up your account for AutoReload payments, and Reliant will keep your account information confidential per Reliant’s privacy statement.
3Reliant Energy’s residential retail electricity customers who are enrolled in a qualifying electricity plan have a one-time opportunity to change to a different qualifying retail electricity plan option, within 90 days of the beginning of their enrollment, without incurring an early termination fee.
