Elizabeth Killinger

President, NRG Retail and Reliant

Elizabeth Killinger has over 30 years of domestic and international experience in the energy and services industries, including over 20 years with NRG. She is responsible for directing all aspects of NRG Home, which provides innovative residential power and gas services to millions of customers through multiple brands and channels in the United States and Canada. NRG Home is not only the largest competitive residential electricity business in Texas but also in the U.S. Having played a key role in the company's transition to competitive electricity markets with customer service at its core, her vision of the "Era of Personal Power" has led NRG to introduce new products that push the energy industry into the future and provide consumers with insights, choices, and convenient ways to power their lives.

Elizabeth spent the first decade of her career with a Big 4 Accounting firm serving in the oilfield services, software development, and management consulting industries. She started her NRG career at Reliant in 2002 after working for two years as a consultant, helping launch the company's wholesale and retail businesses for electricity deregulation in Texas.

She currently serves on the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors at Helmerich & Payne, Inc., which was founded in 1920 and is the most trusted partner in drilling productivity and reliability.  She also serves on the Audit Committee and the Governance and Nominating Committee of the Board of Directors of TDECU, the largest credit union in Houston and the third largest credit union in Texas.

Deeply committed to making a difference for future generations, Elizabeth assists many impactful organizations. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Houston Partnership, Junior Achievement of Southeast Texas, Hope Media Group, and the Lutheran Education Association of Houston (LEAH Schools).  In addition, she serves on the Energy Advisory Board and the Bauer Business School Board at the University of Houston.  Elizabeth served as Chair for the nation's largest 2014 March for Babies Campaign and the 2015 American Heart Association's Heart Walk. And in 2017, she was honored to serve on the Super Bowl LI Houston Host Committee as Volunteer Chair.

Elizabeth attended Houston Baptist University and earned her bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems with honors from the Bauer School of Business at the University of Houston. She is also a homemaker, passionate about her role as wife and mother, and enjoys spending time with her church and family.

Andrea has more than 25 years of experience in marketing, sales and customer segmentation. As Vice President and General Manager of Reliant, the largest competitive electric provider in Texas, she leads award-winning teams committed to delivering on Reliant’s promise to power, protect and simplify life for our customers through innovative products and services. Andrea is especially proud to share in her teams’ generous support of causes in the communities we serve.

Prior to joining NRG in 2011, Andrea held leadership roles with other retail electric providers in Texas, where she had a significant impact on customer experience enhancements and business growth. Today, Andrea is helping Reliant reach new heights in product personalization, meaningful innovation and exceptional customer service.

Before transitioning to energy, Andrea spent 17 years in telecom, where she held several leadership positions in customer care, marketing and sales. At AT&T, she planned and launched AT&T Local Service in 10 unique markets, received multiple President’s Awards and was nominated by her peers to participate in their Leadership Development Program for future executives.

While working full-time, Andrea earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. She serves on the North Texas Commission Board of Directors as well as the Dallas Arboretum Board of Directors. Andrea lives in Dallas with her husband, where she enjoys volunteering in the community through the National Charity League with their two daughters.

Scott Burns

General Manager, Services and Customer Experience

As head of innovation and customer experience at Reliant, Scott Burns leads the team responsible for creating the residential and small business product and service strategy and ensuring excellent customer experience. His team creates products that include customer-facing applications based on smart meter data analytics, home energy management devices and technology, demand response and energy efficiency programs, commodity plans, home maintenance services, and other services that meet the evolving needs of today’s electricity consumer. Additionally, he is the general manager for two of the adjacent growth businesses (Home Services and Home Security) as well as leading the market research and competitive intelligence functions.

Since joining Reliant in 2008, Scott has been focused on consumer-facing energy product strategy and has helped launch multiple products including energy emails, web portals, mobile applications, time-of-use pricing and home automation. He was a key contributor on the application that led to Reliant’s selection as a Department of Energy (DOE) Smart Grid Stimulus Grant recipient and the product lead on the company’s implementation of that program.

Scott also spent time at another retail electricity provider that exposed him to the competitive business both in the United States and overseas. He also spent eight years in a variety of marketing and product line management roles at Corning, including profit and loss responsibility for two of the company’s product lines. He led development of a number of key products used in the country’s first large-scale fiber-to-the-home deployments.

Scott is a former military officer and pilot, having graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Georgia College, a graduate marketing certificate from Southern Methodist University and completed Wharton’s Innovation for Growth program. Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.

William "Bill" Clayton

As Vice President of Customer Care and Retention at Reliant, Bill is responsible for leading customer care and service operations for mass market customers in ERCOT. In this role, he oversees the company's engagement centers and mid-office operations, leading a team that has been nationally and regionally recognized for outstanding customer service.

With nearly three decades of experience, Bill has in-depth knowledge of utilities and retail electric industries. Bill has managed a number of specialized consumer programs for Reliant and has held various roles within residential load management, field operations, retail marketing, community marketing, program development and retail operations. Bill and the Reliant team have been featured in Harvard Business Review and in Matt Dixon’s bestseller, “The Effortless Experience.”

A proud native Houstonian, Bill cares deeply about his community and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association’s Houston Chapter and the Center for Houston’s Future. Bill previously served on the board of the Greater Houston and South Texas Better Business Bureau.

Bill graduated summa cum laude from Abilene Christian University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and was inducted into the ACU Sports Hall of Fame for football. Bill is passionate about spending time with his family and enjoys adventure traveling.

Leanne Schneider has over 25 years of experience working in Houston. She currently serves as the Director of Reliant Community Relations and Executive Director of the Reliant Charitable Foundation. In this role, Leanne actively directs and integrates our Community & Partnership Marketing and Charitable Giving assets and leads our philanthropic programming to bring our employees, communities and customers together.

Leanne started her career at Reliant in 2002. Prior to her current role, she led the program management efforts for the Retail Sales team and held various leadership roles in Retail IT leading projects and programs across the organization.

Prior to Reliant, Leanne worked in technology software and consulting with roles in business development, partner management and solutions integration.

Leanne is passionate about volunteering in her daughters’ activities and in the community. She loves to run, read, snow ski and travel.

Leanne holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
