NRG Oak Cliff

Oak Cliff

Oak Cliff is much more than the home of the Texas Theater, where Lee Harvey Oswald hid out and was captured. This is a neighborhood with as much local culture and pride as any neighborhood in Dallas. Some parts of this historic neighborhood show its wear, but this part of the city is in transition and has much to offer, especially in the Arts. The Oak Cliff Film Festival is a fledgling event centered on the Texas Theater, and is quickly gaining popularity. The Oak Cliff Cultural Center showcases local artists and hosts community gatherings. Finally, the Bishop Arts District features blocks of unique, independent boutiques, restaurants and bars, and, of course, a trip to the Dallas Zoo in Oak Cliff is always a trip worth taking!
