As president of Reliant, Killinger is responsible for leading all aspects of Reliant's retail business. The company provides electricity, home energy services and smart energy solutions to more than 1.5 million retail customers including homes, manufacturing facilities, government entities and institutions.
Killinger was named President of Reliant in October 2012. She joined Reliant in May 2002 after two years in consulting roles across the company’s wholesale and retail businesses. She led several projects that prepared the retail business for the opening of the competitive market in Texas. During Elizabeth’s tenure at the company she has strengthened Reliant’s commitment to offering best-in-class operations performance, has been instrumental in the company’s retail and commercial and industrial expansion outside of Texas. She has also overseen the development of new product lines and businesses.
Before joining Reliant, Killinger spent ten years with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting delivering strategy, management and information technology services to businesses across the United States, Norway and London. She also spent two years providing operations support in the oilfield services industry.
Killinger is listed in the 2013 Who’s Who in Energy in Houston and was honored in the Houston Business Journal’s 2013 Power Book. She serves on the Energy Advisory Board and the Bauer Business College Board at the University of Houston, the Greater Houston Partnership Executive Committee and on the Board of Directors for the North Texas Commission, the March of Dimes Houston Chapter and the Center for Hearing and Speech. In addition, she also serves as chairman of the school board for Epiphany Lutheran School in Houston, and as a mentor for Newspring Center for Social Entrepreneurship and Business Nurturing. She holds a BBA in Management Information Systems from the University of Houston.
