How do I search for available positions within Reliant?
Our Careers Web site is updated daily to include new opportunities. Click "Job Search" to view the current listings and register your resume. Please note that Reliant only accepts resumes through this Web site. We don’t accept or retain unsolicited resumes sent to us by individuals or any third party.
How do I search for specific available positions by job category?
Click "Job Search". Select the position of interest from the "Job: Category" dropdown, and select "Search".
I recently submitted my information for a position. What is the next step?
When you register your resume for a position on our Careers Web site, you will receive an e-mail confirmation acknowledging our receipt of your resume. Candidates whose experiences and qualifications most closely match the position are reviewed by our Human Resources representatives. If you are identified to move forward in the process, it could be several weeks before we contact you due to the overwhelming response to many of our positions. We appreciate your patience as we carefully review each candidate’s background and credentials against the experience and qualifications sought for the job opportunity. If you are identified to move forward in the process, you will be contacted by a Human Resources representative or the hiring manager, who will outline the next steps of the process.
Can you tell me if a job has been filled?
Generally speaking, positions that appear on our Careers Web site are open and active, even though the interview process may have begun. If you do not see a particular position, it has been filled or we are no longer seeking candidates for that position.
While viewing the job listings, I saw a position that would be perfect for one of my friends. Can I send the job to him/her?
Definitely, and we encourage you to do so. Click on the link at the bottom of the job "Send this job to a friend." A pop-up box will appear asking for your friend’s e-mail address. Once you enter the requested information, click on "I agree" and "send." Both you and your friend will receive an e-mail acknowledgment. Your friend must then register their resume for the position in order to be considered for it.
I was referred by an employee of Reliant. How do I check the status of my referral?
As someone who has been referred, you will receive an e-mail acknowledgement inviting you to visit our Careers Website to create a Career Profile and to register your resume for the position(s). You will be contacted if your resume is identified as a match. Please note that to be considered for a job opportunity you mustregister your resume for a specific position(s) once you have received the e-mail acknowledgement that you have been referred.
My password is not working / I forgot it. What should I do?
Click on the “Register Your Profile” link. When you reach the login screen, enter your user name in the section "Returning User." Click "Forgot Your Password?" A new password will be sent to you at the e-mail address with which you registered. You can then use the password to log in to your Profile.
I am an agency and would like to partner with your organization. How can I become a vendor to Reliant Energy?
If you are interested in seeking potential business opportunities with Reliant Energy, sign up and your information will be added to our supplier database.
Your organization’s information will be maintained in our "pending review" vendor database, which is reviewed annually. A representative of our purchasing department will review your information and contact you directly should the need arise or at year-end when our annual review begins.

Reliant does not accept unsolicited resumes; we only accept candidates from those agencies which we are partnering with on a specific search. Interested candidates may register their resume on-line for a particular open position at any time.
