Jason Few, President, Reliant Energy
Jason Few is President of Reliant Energy and Senior Vice President of Retail NRG. He is responsible for leading all aspects of Reliant’s retail business. Few joined the company in July 2008.

He comes to Reliant Energy from Motorola, Inc., where he most recently served as corporate vice president and general manager of Companion Products. Few previously oversaw Motorola’s global retail and distribution, global quality and customer advocacy, as well as marketing of the North American mobile devices business. Prior to joining Motorola, he led SBC Communications’ activities in Wi-Fi implementation, DSL broadband roll-out, eBusiness development and the SBC Yahoo integration and business development activities.

Few’s successful track record running and launching new businesses, leading large global teams and bringing new technologies to market is ideal for leading NRG’s retail business.

Few serves on the board of directors of Syniverse Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: SVR), the board of trustees of the Greater Houston Partnership, Rebuilding Together Houston and the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago. He earned a bachelor's degree in computer systems from Ohio University and a master's degree in business administration from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

 

Thomas D. Gros, Senior Vice President, Sales
As Senior Vice President of Sales, Tom Gros is responsible for Reliant Energy’s sales organization, which serves 1.6 million residential and business customers. In addition, he oversees Community Affairs and Association Development and shares decision-making authority for product development, deal structuring and customer care.

With more than 20 years of sales and operational experience in energy and capital markets, Gros has a strong record of leading established businesses and successfully starting new ventures on an international scale. He comes to Reliant from Tradition Energy, a leading global energy advisor, where he founded and led the Global Strategic Solutions Group as Managing Director. Prior to his role at Tradition, Gros served as CEO of OpenLink, an energy risk and logistics software firm, and was Acting CEO at Pricelock, a firm offering unique motor fuel risk management solutions.

Earlier in his career, Gros held leadership positions at BP Exploration, JP Morgan Chase Bank (formerly known as Chemical Bank), Enron, CLPartners and Reuters. While at Enron, he established a wholly owned software firm, CommodityLogic.

Gros holds a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Business degree from the Sloan School at MIT. He also serves on the Board of the Arbor School.

 

Tracy Carmen-Jones, Vice President, Community Affairs
Tracy Carmen-Jones is Vice President of Community Affairs. She is responsible for working with organizations and community leaders to empower and enhance communities in Houston and other Texas areas served by Reliant Energy. Tracy joined Reliant in 2000. She has managed the Reliant Resources Incorporated Foundation and held positions in Internet Web development, Customer Care and Business Transformation.

Prior to Reliant, Tracy worked at Compaq Computer Corporation. During that time, she was a Director over the Direct Business, responsible for generating awareness, demand and purchase of computers and related equipment online. She also served as Business Development Director of commercial displays and peripheral equipment. Her background includes 6 years of strategy and operations consulting with The MAC Group and commercial banking experience with Bank One Corporation and JPMorgan Chase.

Tracy is on the Advisory Board for The Women’s Resource Center. She holds an undergraduate degree in finance from Georgetown University and a Masters in Management from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. 

 

William Clayton, Vice President, Customer Care
William Clayton is Vice President of Customer Care Operations for Reliant Energy. Clayton is responsible for leading Reliant’s Customer Care and Service operations for Reliant’s mass market customers. In this role, Clayton oversees the company's call center and mid-office operations. He also serves as the company's Energy Expert in matters related to energy efficiency. With nearly two decades of experience, Clayton has in-depth knowledge of the utility and retail electric industries. He has managed a number of specialized consumer programs for Reliant and has held various roles within Residential Load Management, Field Operations, Retail Marketing, Program Development and Retail Operations.

Bill graduated summa cum laude from Abilene Christian University with a bachelor of arts in political science. He has received a number of academic and athletic awards, including being named three-time GTE Academic All-American in football.

 

Clare Doyle, Deputy General Counsel
Clare Doyle is Deputy General Counsel for Reliant Energy. She is responsible for providing legal support to Reliant’s commercial and industrial sales and marketing group. Doyle joined Reliant’s legal department in 1998, serving as senior counsel responsible for commercial transactions in the wholesale group before moving to the retail group in 1999. Prior to joining Reliant, Doyle held in-house positions at Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, L.P., where she managed all legal work for the master limited partnership, and at Enron Operations Corp. and the company then known as PanEnergy Corp., where she worked on transactions related to natural gas pipelines.

Doyle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Houston College of Law. She is admitted to practice in the state of Texas.

 

Mark Durow, Vice President, Retail Supply
Mark Durow is Vice President of Retail Supply for Reliant Energy. In addition to overseeing execution of the energy supply portfolio for the retail business, he works closely with other members of the retail leadership group to achieve the financial goals of the retail business. In former positions at Reliant, he was responsible for wholesale origination from Reliant’s generation assets in California, Arizona and Nevada and also led several corporate development initiatives.

Prior to joining Reliant in 1999, Mark held a variety of positions with Koch Industries in Texas, Kansas and Minnesota. He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University.

 

Elizabeth Killinger, Vice President, Retail Operations
Elizabeth Killinger is Vice President of Retail Operations for Reliant Energy. She is responsible for the company's retail operations functions, which include commercial, industrial and small business operations, residential marketing execution, residential operations and retail strategic project execution.

Ms. Killinger joined Reliant in May 2002 after spending two years in consulting roles across the wholesale and retail businesses.  Initially she was responsible for residential and small business billing, retail market transaction management and retail remittance. In 2004, she added commercial and industrial billing and retail credit and collections/bad debt management to her responsibility. In 2005, she added commercial and industrial customer account management and retail marketing execution to her responsibility.

Before joining Reliant Energy, Ms. Killinger spent 10 years in management and information technology consulting with Andersen Business Consulting working across the United States, in Norway and London and she spent 2 years providing operations support in an oilfield services company.

 

Assad Lazarus, Vice President, Mass Market Sales and Online Marketing
Assad Lazarus is Vice President of Sales & Online Marketing for Reliant Energy. In this role, Lazarus is responsible for leading Reliant’s multi-channel sales effort to acquire and retain segmented customer groups across residential and small business markets. This includes inbound and outbound telemarketing, premises sales, e-commerce, multi-family, and partnership sales activities. Lazarus joined Reliant in 2007.

Prior to joining Reliant, Lazarus spent over 10 years in the telecommunications industry with BellSouth and AT&T. During this time he held a wide breadth of roles with increasing responsibility including positions in operations, pricing, product management, marketing, and strategic management. Lazarus was instrumental in launching and growing the DSL business for BellSouth (now part of AT&T).

Lazarus earned his undergraduate degree in Applied Math-Statistics & Economics from State University of New York at Stony Brook, and his MBA in Finance and Marketing from Emory University in Atlanta.

 

Sherrie Martin, Regional Controller
Sherrie Martin is the Regional Controller for Reliant Energy, responsible for the company’s accounting, financial planning and reporting functions.

In her former role, she led the corporate management and performance reporting groups. Since joining Reliant in 2000, she managed financial planning and reporting functions in both the Retail and Wholesale segments. Prior to joining Reliant, she held a variety of financial management positions with the Coca-Cola Company and managed audit services with Ernst & Young.

Martin is a graduate of Houston Baptist University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in both accounting and finance. She is a certified public accountant and member of the Texas State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

 

Mark McShane, Vice President, ERCOT Energy Supply
Mark McShane is Vice President of ERCOT Energy Supply for Reliant Energy. In addition to overseeing execution of intra-month commercial operations including economic dispatch and load forecasting, he is responsible for supply portfolio development and origination to help achieve the goals of the retail business.

In his former role at Reliant, he was responsible for long-term supply planning, monthly fuel procurement, and joint operations settlement for the ERCOT region. He joined the company in 1990 as a software engineer supporting the company's energy management system.

He earned a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas in Austin.

 

Manny Rodriguez, Vice President, Brand and Marketing Services
Manny Rodriguez is Vice President of Brand and Marketing Services at Reliant Energy, Inc. He is responsible for leading brand development, advertising, customer communications, market research, sponsorships and promotions. Manny joined the company in March 2008.

He comes to Reliant Energy from Forest Labs, Inc., where he most recently served as senior director of marketing, leading the Benicar brand team. Prior to joining Forest, Manny worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. as Director, Strategy and Business Planning for Plavix. While at Bristol-Myers, Manny also led the consumer launch of Pargluva.

Manny serves on the board of directors of American Council on Exercise (ACE) one of the countries largest fitness certification bodies. He earned a bachelor's degree in Finance from Seton Hall University and a master's degree in International Business from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

 

Glen Stancil, Vice President, Mass Markets Portfolio Management
Glen Stancil is Vice President of Mass Markets Portfolio Management. He is responsible for leading pricing and offer management in the mass market segments of the retail business. Glen joined the company in February of 2003. During his six years with Reliant, Glen has held various roles across smart energy, performance management, operations, marketing, and strategic planning.

Prior to Reliant, Glen held leadership roles in product marketing and business development with two start-up technology companies in California. Glen’s background also includes professional services positions in energy and technology strategy with McKinsey & Co as well as product marketing, design, and development roles with Seagull Technology, IBM, and Andersen Consulting.

Glen holds an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin as well as an MBA from Stanford University.
