How far in advance can I schedule my transfer online?
Our online tool lets you schedule service at your new address as early as two months in advance or as late as the day of your move (if requested before 2 p.m.*).
* Requests processed after 2 p.m. CTS will be connected the next business day. Priority Move-In service is offered Monday through Friday, weather permitting, where an existing meter is in place. No weekend or holiday connections. Enrollment and permit requirements must be met before a request can be processed. Additional charges apply.
When will my switch to Reliant become effective?
The switch can take anywhere from a few days to two weeks to process, unless you have a prearranged date set.* We’ll send you an email once your service starts with Reliant. You may also check your status by calling us at 713-207-7777 or 1-866-222-7100 or by chatting with us online.

Can I change my Reliant start date?
Yes. We offer the option to change your desired start date; however, this change is not available online. Please call us at 1-866-222-7100.
Will I be required to pay a deposit? If so, in what amount?
Reliant will run a credit check to determine if a deposit will be required. The deposit amount is not based on home size, but is calculated based on 1/5 of the annual billing amount, or the estimated billing amount for the next 2 months — whichever is higher.
How can I reset my password and find my username?
We can help you reset your password or find your username. For security purposes, we do not send passwords through email. You may also chat online with a live agent, who can reset your password.
